For NTUC’s historical exhibition, augmented reality (AR) technology made an appearance in this modernised campaign. To enable visitors to try on NTUC’s commemorative watch, AR technology operationalised smartphones that augmented the watch onto their wrists. A GIF photo booth also allows for visitors to take short videos to mark their visit to NTUC’s Reunion event.
What is the Experience?
Virtually place a watch on your wrist to evaluate its appearance. By utilising augmented reality (AR) technology, NTUC’s commemorative watches can be digitally worn by visitors to experience wearing the watch without it being physically present. A GIF photo booth is also available for visitors to obtain a short video with a customisable backdrop, which is done using a Q&A kiosk that enquired about the visitor’s information.
To facilitate an experiential and conducive exhibition that engages visitors during their journey through 50 years of Singapore’s labour movement.
The AR watch experience is conducted by stretching your hand in front of a smartphone. A virtual watch will appear on-screen and be connected to the user’s wrist. Wrist movements can be made to assess the watch’s appeal and alternative watches are available for the user’s review.
The GIF photo booth starts with the user answering questions about themselves, such as their aspirations and home location. Using the information provided, personalised backdrops will be created and users may record a short video alongside the related background.
