What is the Experience?
National Library Board Book Bugs is back again for another edition in 2022! In this season, children are invited to join Attie as he investigates the disappearances of the Book Bugs and the strange happenings in the land of Bugtopia.
In this exciting experience, users will attempt to accumulate points that will allow them to redeem the Book Bugs playing cards. The redemption machines are located in 23 different libraries across Singapore and allow easy access for all keen adventurers.
Through a simple scan of the QR code, users will be able to use their points to redeem the playing cards. The exciting journey continues as users strive to collect interesting playing cards and battle it out with their peers and family.
To drive engagement at over 20 public libraries in Singapore and encourage the borrowing of books.
This specially curated redemption machine is built to accommodate the height of NLB’s target audience – children and young teens. Through foolproof instructors, users will be able to use their devices to scan the QR code.
Using their mobile devices, users will be required to log in through the NLB mobile app or website. Thereafter, they will be required to navigate to the points tab to select the number of cards they would like to redeem. Once users have confirmed, a QR code and 8-digit code will be generated.
Using the generated QR code, users can now head to the selected public libraries to redeem their playing cards.
As people become more tech-savvy, marketing tools traditionally used by businesses to promote their products and services need to be enhanced to offer the same digital experience.
