The Clementi Mall launched an event inviting shoppers to relive the good old days with nostalgic games like hopscotch and catching spiders. As a refreshing take on the classics, the event incorporated experiential technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR) that put a modern spin on our favourite games of the past.
What is the Experience?
Shoppers enjoyed a great time for the whole family with the fun-filled activities in The Clementi Mall’s very own interactive playground.
The aim of the interactive playground is to grant a rewarding and engaging experience to the patrons of The Clementi Mall through interactive digital activities suitable for people of all ages. With the use of experiential technologies, we hoped to encourage more shoppers to participate in the event to try out games that are new and familiar at the same time.
Shoppers had to fulfill a minimum spending requirement before entering the interactive playground. Once inside the playground, participants could choose to take part in the interactive hopscotch challenge, the first of its kind in Singapore or the AR Spider Catching game.
The hopscotch challenge featured a life-sized hopscotch, with squares that lit up in multiple colours once players jump on it. For the AR Spider Catching game, players had to use an ipad against a backdrop of a flowery garden and tap on the screen once spiders appear to earn points. Every game required players to enter their particulars to record their scores on a leaderboard and the top players at the end of the event were awarded attractive prizes.
