An experiential booth about a sheriff traversing the dusty dunes of the desert enveloped West Coast Plaza and its shoppers. Installed along the mall’s walkway, the game allowed visitors to control the sheriff through body movements alone; providing a boost in engagement rates and attracting many visitors to this unconventional exhibition.
What is the Experience?
Join our courageous sheriff, Flint West, as he traverses the deserts on his trusty steed. This game leverages augmented reality technology and motion detection cameras to control the sheriff using the player’s physical movements, intriguing passers-by with the uncanny motion. It also serves as a consumer engagement project that entices customers to participate and win attractive prizes!
To spur business and bolster sales throughout the shopping establishment by implementing experiential activity – encompassing whimsical fun for all.
The game will request for calibration by asking the user to stand in front of the motion sensing camera, installed above the LED screen. Upon completion, the game starts and the sheriff moves forward. Left and right movements from the player will correspond to identical movements from the sheriff. Horseshoes can be collected to gather points while power-ups like sheriff stars provide an additional speed boost. Obstacles are scattered around the game’s landscape, tripping the horse and ending the game if the player collides into them.
